20 July 2026 – Shandong Weigao Group Medical Polymer Company Limited successfully convened the kick-off meeting for its 2026 ESG Integration and Reporting Project. Mr. Long Jing, Chairman of the Board of Weigao Group, attended the meeting and delivered an opening address. Mr. Tony Wong, founder of Alaya Consulting, together with his professional team, provided a dedicated presentation. Key representatives from various business segments and functional departments of Weigao Group participated in the meeting. The successful holding of this meeting marks the official commencement of a new phase for Weigao Group in building a standardized, systematic, and long-term ESG framework.

In his opening speech titled "Anchoring Long-Term Value and Cultivating a Sustainable Future", Mr. Long Jing emphasized that ESG regulatory requirements and industry disclosure standards in China continue to evolve. ESG has become a core metric for evaluating the value of listed companies and serves as a vital foundation for stable operations, resilience against cyclical risks, and the development of long-term competitiveness. Mr. Long noted that Weigao Group has established a solid foundation in sustainable development practices across areas such as green production, workplace safety, employee welfare, public welfare initiatives, and corporate governance. However, the Company’s ESG efforts have been somewhat fragmented without a unified, standardized management system. As a result, existing achievements have not been systematically consolidated or effectively communicated to external stakeholders. He stressed that this specialized project represents a key opportunity to strengthen the Weigao Group’s ESG management. By leveraging professional expertise, benchmarking against industry leaders, and aligning with sector-specific characteristics and international disclosure standards, Weigao Group will establish an integrated ESG management system. This initiative will deeply embed sustainability principles into all business processes, advancing the standardization, systematization, and long-term development of its ESG work.

Mr. Tony Wong then delivered a detailed presentation on the current landscape of the medical device industry. He provided an in-depth analysis of mainstream ESG disclosure frameworks, including ISSB, GRI, and HKEx requirements. Drawing on typical industry cases, he outlined the optimization pathway for Weigao Group’s 2026 ESG system, data collection standards across the organization, and the project implementation timeline. The presentation focused on the three core ESG dimensions — Environment, Social, and Governance — offering both practical and strategic guidance. For “Environmental”, it highlighted initiatives such as energy-saving upgrades, greenhouse gas accounting, application of eco-friendly materials, and low-carbon supply chain standards. For “Social”, systematic improvement plans were proposed for product quality and safety management, employee occupational health, industrial collaboration, and public welfare support. For “Governance”, the presentation detailed standardized approaches for board-level ESG oversight, compliance and risk control, business ethics management, and transparent information disclosure.

Participants engaged attentively throughout the session, actively reflecting on the content and exchanging ideas with the experts on practical matters such as data collection and implementation challenges. The meeting demonstrated Weigao Group’s strong commitment and positive momentum toward advancing its ESG system.

This kick-off meeting has clearly defined the implementation roadmap for Weigao Group’ sustainable development efforts in 2026. The Company will fully integrate sustainability principles across the entire medical device value chain. It will steadily advance key initiatives in low-carbon transformation, quality control, employee rights protection, public welfare practices, and standardized governance. By establishing standardized and routine ESG management, Weigao Group aims to strengthen its foundation for long-term growth, enhance its credibility in the capital markets, and elevate its industry brand influence, thereby supporting high-quality and leapfrog development.
