21 August 2024 – Medical Products Division of Weigao Group (“WEGO Medical”) held the kick-off meeting for its Safety Management Standardization Project at the Weigao Lecture Hall . The event was attended by over 200 participants, including Ma Lanbo, Safety Director of Weigao Holding; Zhang Zhuangqiu, Deputy Director of the Safety Committee of WEGO Medical; Tian Shidan, Safety Director of WEGO Medical; the Yige Consulting team, as well as heads of subsidiaries, functional departments, workshop directors, and team leaders.

The meeting conducted an in-depth analysis of the WEGO Medical’s current safety management practices, comprehensively reviewed existing challenges and issues, and formulated a clear three-year development plan. With the strategic approach of “standardization as the foundation and information-driven processes as the key lever,” the plan provides a clear direction and detailed implementation roadmap for the continuous improvement of safety management.

This initiative not only reflects WEGO Medical’s strong commitment to production safety but also demonstrates its firm determination to pursue innovation and excellence in safety management.

The meeting emphasized that this launch event serves as both a comprehensive mobilization for the Safety Management Standardization Project and a significant milestone in the Group’s transition from passive to proactive and autonomous safety management.Looking ahead, WEGO Medical will uphold the core principles of “people-oriented” management and “My Area, My Safety Responsibility.” The Group will focus on building a robust safety culture by engaging a professional third-party consulting team and leveraging information technology. It will establish a Safety Management Academy to provide systematic education and training, empower the safety team with professional expertise, and lay a solid foundation for talent development. These efforts will further strengthen and elevate the overall safety management system of WEGO Medical.

During the meeting, the Yige Consulting team shared advanced concepts and best practices in safety management, providing strong theoretical support and practical guidance for the successful implementation of the project.

The meeting called on all unit leaders to attach great importance to the initiative, actively cooperate with the consulting team, take swift action, and ensure adequate resource support. They were instructed to refine work plans, clarify responsibilities, and ensure all tasks are effectively executed.
