Gansu Province Nursing Quality Control Center Held Infusion Safety Seminar

   Sponsored by Gansu Province Nursing quality control center, associated by Weigao Group, intravenous infusion safety management seminar was held in Lanzhou City Group Engineering Building on March 16. Director of Gansu Province Nursing quality control center, Vice Chairman of Gansu Province Nursing Association Qi Haiyan, Peking University First Hospital intravenous infusion team leader Li Zhonghui, Southern Medical University, Dean of Nursing School, Professor Shi Ruifen, Chief Engineer of Weigao Group Yin Jinghua, Sales Director of Medical Products Company Sun Yupeng, Marketing Manager Meng Linghong, Customer Manager of Shanxi Region Li Xiaoyan, nursing director and matron of over Grade-two hospital in Gansu Province, more than180 people attended the meeting. Professor Yin Jinghua, Professor Shi Ruifen and Teacher Li Zhonghui reported in the seminar.
   Professor Shi Ruifen made a presentation entitled "the application of critical thinking in clinical care". She pointed out that with the development of health care technology and infusion, intravenous infusion therapy nurses was no longer a simple technical operation. Improve critical thinking ability could enhance the overall quality of nurses.
   Professor Yin Jinghua made a report about "discussion of the safety disposable medical supplies”. He reported the course of development of infusion material, security risks of the clinical use of PVC infusion sets, as well as for disabled PVC infusion related laws and regulations at home and abroad.
   Li Zhonghui made an intravenous infusion safety management report. She combined clinical transfusion practice and a lot of real examples to explain how the clinical nurse managers to manage infusion and regulate the infusion management processes.
   Director Qi Haiyan first affirmed the significance of three experts’ report in guiding clinical work and proposed the participants to improve safety and efficiency of intravenous infusion in clinical work. She also pointed out that the technical level of intravenous infusion therapy directly affected the safety of patients and quality of healthcare. Therefore, the specification of the hospital intravenous infusion management, improving the quality of care for each hospital infusion therapy would be an important symbol for the measure of the management level of a region and a hospital, it is an important mission to each hospital nurse managers. How to strengthen the safety management of intravenous fluids, and make intravenous infusion therapy to the development of standardization, specialization, enhancing safety, had become the focus of the infusion nurse managers to strengthen management.
